Crown making on a rainy day.

A few months ago I attended the ScrapbookExpo when it came through town. I've been going every year, and always love the classes and make and takes and, of course, the shopping. I love all the different products being in one place, and I love the deals you can get (especially at the end of the Expo). You can always find so many cool things at the Expo that you usually can't find in your local scrapbook store-- you know, the things you have to order online. Of course eventually you can buy them at a local store, but you have to have that item NOW. You can't wait, right? You see it demonstrated and you just can't wait to get home to try it out.
One of my favorite things I bought, this year, has been the Lil Sis Sanding Stick from CreekBank Creations, Inc.. It looks like this: . You use it on chipboard to sand the edges when you're covering it with paper. That way you don't get those pesky messy edges, they come out perfect. I saw this demonstrated and knew I could not live without it. I bought one, and came home straight away to use it along with all the other things I could not live without for one reason or another. Of course you know how projects go..sometimes you start one and never get around to finishing it until you have a rainy day. Today was my rainy day, and I finally finished my first try using an acrylic album.

I have never taken a class on making an acrylic album so I was really nervous about really screwing up. I've seen so many amazing acrylic albums and this one doesn't even come close, but I'm proud anyway.

There it is, my finished project. How could I resist buying a crown, for my one and only princess, and filling it up with pictures of her? I did not leave the boys out when I was shopping at the Expo, I bought tons of boy themed things too. I just like showing off the girl ones. Sorry. What about any of you? Do any of you like to scrapbook, digital scrapbook? Do you have any favorite gadgets or gizmo you just can't live without? Do you go to expos or conventions?

I'm not a scrapbooker but I am a photographer and I enjoy digital scrapbooking. I've had wedding couples order from mypublisher.com.
